Lake Worth Beach, Florida — On Friday, the police arrested a man who allegedly attacked a woman. During the attack, he pushed her to the ground, and while she was lying down, punched her in the stomach. Before fleeing, he snatched the woman’s purse from her hands.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office released a statement, saying that the victim was a pregnant woman. She was in Lake Worth Beach at around 11:50 a.m., going down D Street. According to the statement, it was then and there that Malcom Hodges, the suspect, attacked her from behind, bringing her down and punching her in the stomach after it was clear to the perpetrator that she was pregnant. The PBSO said that Hodges allegedly stole the woman’s purse and fled on foot, going south.
Once deputies arrived at the scene, they established a perimeter and successfully located Hodges. The man was subsequently arrested. Upon questioning, Hodges admitted to attacking the woman and committing many other thieveries in Lake Worth Beach due to the fact that he didn’t have any money.
Malcom Hodges was put in the Palm Beach County jail. They charged him with robbery without any firearm, an aggravated battery while knowing that the victim was pregnant. They are holding him on $50,000 bond. The victim, according to the police, is in good and stable condition.
