With the box-workforce success of “New Moon” and fans eagerly expecting the June discharge of “Eclipse,” it looks almost certain that “Breaking Dawn,” the closing book in the “Twilight Saga,” will hit the big guard. Nevertheless there are two big questions surrounding the probable film: Who will blunt it, and will it be opening into two movies?
MTV News spine with the “Twilight” stars last week at a New York showing of “New Moon” and asked them to weigh in on the saga’s outlook.
“If I had a craving register, Gus van Sant would be sweet cool,” Peter Facinelli said, mirroring Robert Pattinson’s manager choose. “I just think he’d be an interesting catalog for it. I mean, ‘Milk’ was phenomenal. I would just ardor to see ‘Breaking Dawn’ done, because I’d like to finale the entire section.”
Ashley Greene said she wouldn’t favor down the gamble to division up “Breaking Dawn,” if that’s what the studio decides. “I think we all feeling being a part of this,” she said. “And if making this into two films mean we capture the essence of the fourth book better, then absolutely.”
Nikki Reed agreed with Greene, noting that she just desires to see it get the green light before any other decisions are made. “It doesn’t subject to me … If they think that’s what’s best for the book, and if they don’t think they can make it in one, then great,” Reed said. “But I don’t even know if they’re making it.”
So far, a new filmmaker has been at the rudder of each “Twilight” movie, but that doesn’t mean “New Moon” manager Chris Weitz is against eminent back if it works for him. “A lot depends on whether the fans and the studio and all that, whether people would still like me to do it,” he said. “And how my family feels about it.”
Kellan Lutz wouldn’t mind since Weitz back in the chief’s manage. “Out of the three, I’d adoration to see Chris Weitz come back,” he said. “I just had so much fun shooting with him. I mean, clearly, I would just adoration to do ['Breaking Dawn']. There’s no word. … Hopefully we get that buzz call, and if they want to make it into five movies, I just don’t want it to end. I dearest my oddball so much.”
